CHICAGO — Authorities say a man arrested in Michigan has been charged in the kidnapping of a suburban Chicago woman, who was found in Indiana. The FBI said in a news release that 33-year-old Carleous Clay of Lansing, Ill., was charged with kidnapping in a criminal complaint filed Monday in federal court in Chicago. An affidavit says the 53-year-old woman walked in on a burglary at her Lansing home Thursday night and Clay came at her with a hammer. Clay is accused of forcing her into her car's trunk, taking her across the state line to Indiana, going to two ATMs, and sexually assaulting her. Read More. |
