| Police arrest prison escapee; find no record of him escaping |

STONEWALL, Okla.- At around 11 p.m. Tuesday, Stonewall Chief of Police Kent Kerr made contact with a suspicious vehicle at an abandoned building at 9th and Anderson. Inside the vehicle was 26-year-old Colton Lee MacCollister, who had escaped from the Clara Waters Community Corrections Center in Oklahoma City at 4 p.m. The problem? Maccollister never showed up as an escapee in the National Crime Information Center’s system. Stonewall Assistant Chief of Police Eric Carmichael said it was MacCollister’s family who tipped them off. “His family must have been listening to the scanner because when they heard his name come across, they contacted Central Dispatch,” Carmichael said. The family member stated MacCollister was incarcerated, but when his name was run through the NCIC, Carmichael said there was no record stating he had escaped. Read More. |
