| LG woman charged with escaping Department of Corrections custody |

A Locust Grove woman appeared in Mayes County District Court Wednesday on charges of escaping from the Department of Corrections. Amelia Ridenour, 26, appeared in court via video from the Mayes County Jail where she is being held on felony charges of escaping from custody of the Oklahoma Department of Corrections. According to online court records, a warrant for her arrest was issued Monday. Information filed in the case alleges, “On or between Aug. 13 and Sept. 21, inmate with the Department of Corrections by failing to check in and cannot be located after being assigned to GPS program.” Wednesday, Judge Rebecca Gore told Ridenour her charges carry up to 10 years in prison.
