| Inmate escaped from York County Prison work-release facility |

Minimum-security inmate Jessie Allen Spangler escaped Friday night from a York County Prison work-release facility, which is across Concord Road from the prison in Springettsbury Township, according to a news release. Officials believe that Spangler, who was being kept by the prison under a contract with the state Department of Corrections, escaped by climbing a chain-link fence, the news release states. Corrections officers reported the inmate missing at about 11:30p.m. on Friday night. They said he had been in the facility's recreational yard.
