| Gus Harrison prisoners give to Special Olympics |

The members of the Warden’s Forum at Gus Harrison Correctional Facility once again found a way to give back to society, this time to the Special Olympics. On Monday morning, Lt. James Dennis, executive council member of the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Michigan, presented Gus Harrison Warden Paul Klee and members of the Warden’s Forum — made up of prisoners — with a very special appreciation plaque to recognize the generous contribution given by the Warden’s Forum and Prisoner Benefit Fund of $5,000 to the Torch Run for Special Olympics Michigan. The money was raised by the prisoners and comes from the fund that collects money through prisoner food purchases outside of everyday meal times. Read More. |
