JOHNSON COUNTY, Kan. - Johnson County Sheriff’s deputies on Wednesday afternoon caught two suspects who escaped from the Sheriff’s Office Residential Center earlier this year. Mark Edwin Whitlock, 35, of Prairie Village, Kan., was arrested on suspicion of aggravated escape and two counts of a probation violation. His bond was set at $23,000, according to the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office. A Johnson County criminal complaint states Whitlock escaped the Department of Corrections on Sept. 21. Court documents indicate he was being held at the Residential Center in connection with a theft and other escape attempts. Read More. |
