| Governor makes stop at El Dorado Correctional Facility |

For two days this week, Gov. Sam Brownback has been touring the prison system in Kansas. That tour brought him to the El Dorado Correctional Facility Wednesday morning. "It's always a privilege and honor to have Mr. Brownback, the governor, here with us," said EDCF Warden James Heimgartner. Secretary of Corrections Ray Roberts also spoke before the governor stepped up to the podium. "The governor is the type of guy who believes in the least of people," Roberts said. He said the governor has been interested in the corrections program in the state and even wanted to spend a night in prison, which they did in Lansing. Read More. |
