Interim Hall County Corrections Director Todd Bahensky will keep the interim title — at least for now. The Hall County board, sitting as the Hall County Board of Corrections, ended in a split vote Tuesday on whether to appoint Bahensky to the permanent position. He has been serving as interim director for one month. While not a single concern or bad word was uttered about Bahensky — quite the contrary — more than half the board felt it was just too soon to make a permanent decision. “I’m wondering if there should at least have been some, whether it was a national search, or whatever, but at least open this up to applicants for some period of time,” said Supervisor Steve Schuppan.
