| Inmate serving murder sentence dies in Carson City prison |

A 79-year-old inmate died Tuesday morning at the Regional Medical Facility at the Northern Nevada Correctional Center in Carson City. The Nevada Department of Corrections said Gilbert Sanchez, committed from Clark County, was serving a sentence of 20 years to life with parole for second-degree murder and use of a deadly weapon.
