| Female Prison Guard Charged with Rape: State Police |

A 35-year-old Queens woman, who is a prison guard, was charged with 3rd Degree Rape (Class E - Felony) for allegedly having sex with an inmate at Sing Sing Correctional Facility in Ossining. Evita Hinds was arrested Tuesday following an investigation by the Hawthorne-based New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation. Details of the incident were not disclosed, but it allegedly occurred on May 30 of this year, while she was a guard at the prison. Sing Sing is a maximum security prison that houses male inmates, according to state corrections facility website. Read More. |
