| Bernalillo County jail chief resigns after less than a year |

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. —Bernalillo County Metropolitan Detention Center Chief Phillip Greer has resigned. Greer was with the jail for less than year. He submitted the resignation letter Wednesday, making him the second MDC chief to resign in the past two years. Greer says he's leaving because of undisclosed personal reasons and finds his resignation necessary for his personal and professional well-being.
