| Judge denies motion to reconsider Shadwick King prison sentence |

ST. CHARLES TOWNSHIP – A Kane County judge Wednesday denied a motion to reconsider the prison sentence of a former Geneva man convicted of murdering his wife. Judge James Hallock in a brief hearing ruled Shadwick King’s 30-year prison sentence was not “unduly harsh” as stated in the motion to reconsider the sentence. King’s attorney, Kane County Public Defender Kelli Childress, was present at the hearing, along with Kane County Assistant State’s Attorney Greg Sams. The minimum sentence for King was 20 years, and the Kane County State’s Attorney’s Office requested a sentence of 42 years, Hallock said. Read More. |
