| Authorities seek escaped prisoner |

(Council Bluffs) -- State and local officials are searching for an escapee from a Council Bluffs work release facility. The Iowa Department of Corrections says 30-year-old Jonathon Mandel Clausell was placed on an escaped status following an unexcused absence from the facility. Clausell was transferred to work released October 13th. The prisoner was serving 20 years for 2nd degree robbery in Union County and 1st degree theft and assault while participating in a felony in Montgomery County. Clausell is described as an African American male, 5-10, 189 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. Read More. |
