| Inmate is hurt in prison scuffle |

One of two South Woods Prison inmates suffered a head injury during a scuffle at the New Jersey prison Wednesday morning. Two South Woods inmates initiated a fight sometime before noon, when one was injured on the head, according to New Jersey Dept. of Corrections spokesperson Mark Schuman. Schuman said that the inmate's head injury was deemed serious enough that he was transported to South Jersey Healthcare-Regional Medical Center for treatment. DOC officials could not verify the names of the inmates, and no further details could be confirmed. |
