PELZER, SC (FOX Carolina) - The South Carolina Department of Corrections said officers were injured during an altercation at Perry Correctional Institution. Deputy Director for Communications Stephanie Givens said an altercation happened in one of the housing units of the prison on Wednesday night. Three officers were stabbed in the incident, Givens said. Two of the officers were transported to the hospital for their injuries and one was treated at the scene, she said.
