COQUILLE — Mike Crim has seen pretty much all aspects of corrections work in the near 22 years he's been with Coos County Community Corrections. From his four years as a case monitor to the 15 years he spent as a parole officer, Crim has been tasked with heading Coos County Community Corrections as its director for the past three years. Aside from supervising parolees coming out of state prison and probationers coming out of state courts, Crim's department, which is funded by the state of Oregon through a grant from the Oregon Department of Corrections, is tasked with helping offenders stay out of jail or prison for the right reasons.
