| Coos County Community Corrections just misses annual goal |

COQUILLE — Despite supervising 681 offenders during 2014-2015, Coos County Community Corrections just barely missed its goal of meeting 80 percent of its 30 objectives. Although the department is completely funded by the state using grants from the Oregon Department of Corrections, it produces an annual report to update the county commissioners. Serving as both a public safety officer and councilor, parole and probation officers have the challenging task of trying to integrate offenders back into society safely.
