LACONIA — Keith C. Gray of Gilford has been named superintendent of the Belknap County Department of Corrections. Gray has been an employee of Belknap County since December 2003, serving most recently as the Deputy Superintendent. He began his career in Corrections in Rockingham County in 1999. Gray also served in the United States Navy from 1979 to 1999, retiring as a chief petty officer and was recognized with numerous awards while serving in the military. ''He brings a combination of qualifications, experience, achievements and dedication to Belknap County and the county management team," said David DeVoy, chairman of the Belknap County Commissioners. "Over the last 12 years, Gray has displayed his leadership ability, knowledge of modern corrections standards and an eagerness to take on new challenges, all of which will be imperative as the county moves forward with the building of a new Community Corrections Center."
