NORTH BEND, OR (KPTV) - An inmate who escaped from Shutter Creek Correctional Institution in North Bend is back in custody, according to the Oregon Department of Corrections. Prison workers discovered Shawn James Friese missing at 4 p.m. Tuesday. He was found and arrested at 11:10 a.m. Wednesday morning near North Bend. No other details were released about his arrest by the Department of Corrections. Friese entered Oregon Department of Corrections custody on Sept. 3 on convictions for burglary and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle out of Douglas County. Read More. |
