| State corrections director outlines plan for future |

It is time for the Nebraska Department of Corrections to move forward, Director Scott Frakes said Wednesday as he outlined his strategic plan. Frakes was appointed to lead the agency earlier this year. The Nebraska Legislature has been focused on improving operations of the Nebraska Department of Corrections, which has faced scrutiny after sentencing miscalculations and a series of other blunders made headlines. In an interview with the Star-Herald, Frakes said he released his strategic plan earlier this month. “The strategic plan provides the framework for how we are going to move the department forward in the next two years,” he said.
