Wyoming Inmate Burg dies in Torrington

Torrington – Larry Lorenze Burg, a Wyoming inmate, died Friday, November 20, 2015, at the Banner Health Community Hospital in Torrington, Wyoming following a lengthy illness.

Burg was sentenced in Natrona County on October 30, 2009 by Seventh Judicial District Court Judge Scott W. Skavdahl. He was serving consecutive sentences (one after the other) for five counts of 1st Degree Sexual Abuse of a Minor (35 to 50 years each); one count of 1st Degree Sexual Abuse of a Minor (40-50 years); and 1 count of 2nd Degree Sexual Assault Against a Child Under Age Twelve (15-20 years).

Burg was born on February 9, 1950, in Hot Springs, South Dakota.

As per departmental policy an autopsy has been ordered.
