| Idaho Department of Correction investigates apparent suicide of inmate |

BOISE - The Idaho Department of Correction says they are investigating an apparent suicide of an inmate. According to the IDOC, Troy Blaine Watson, 47, died in a Boise hospital on Saturday. Watson, who was serving time at the Correctional Alternative Placement Program (CAPP), suffered an apparent seizure while at the facility last Sunday, November 29. The IDOC says Watson told staff he had taken his personal medication in a suicide attempt. CAPP security and medical responded immediately, providing treatment and transporting Watson to the hospital. Watson had been hospitalized since the incident. The IDOC says he died Saturday morning with his family by his side. Watson was serving a retained jurisdiction sentence out of Bingham County for possession of a controlled substance. Read More. |
