CRANSTON, R.I. – Jhomphy Ventura has been appointed chief of information and public relations for the Rhode Island Department of Corrections, effective Dec. 14, the department announced Tuesday. Ventura is experienced in communications for both the private and public sectors, according to DOC. He has worked on several election campaigns, served as the Chair and Executive Director for the Center for Hispanic Policy and Advocacy and worked as the Senior Bilingual Editor and Translator for CVS Caremark, according to a new release.
