WEWAHITCHKA -- Loomes Wheeler, the millionaire sex predator who is serving two life sentences after being convicted of raping two young girls, was arrested Wednesday and charged with trying to hire a hit man from prison to kill a judge, an assistant state attorney and law enforcement officers who worked on the original case, officials said Thursday. Agents with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement charged Wheeler with six counts of solicitation to commit murder.
