More than 300 people, including city, county and state officials and members of the community, attended the dedication ceremony. At full operation, the facility will employ 409 individuals in a variety of positions, including security, case managers, education counselors, vocational instructors and various administrative roles. It will house medium-security inmates for the Tennessee Department of Correction and will provide more than 10 offender re-entry programs in the areas of education, substance abuse treatment, vocational training and behavior modification.
