| Inmate Death under Investigation |

The Connecticut Department of Correction is investigating the untimely death of an inmate at the Willard-Cybulski Correctional Institution. At approximately 10:08 a.m. on Wednesday, December 23, 2015, correctional staff responded to a nonresponsive inmate. Correctional and medical staff immediately initiated emergency and life saving measures. The inmate was transported to an outside medical facility, where he was pronounced dead at approximately 11:30 a.m. The deceased inmate has been identified as 44-year old Adam Rowe of Hebron, Connecticut. Rowe had been incarcerated since July 6, 2015, when he was returned to custody following a Technical Violation while on Special Parole in the community. The exact manner and cause of death will be determined by the State Medical Examiner’s Office. The Department of Correction and the Connecticut State Police are investigating the death. |
