| MacLaren inmate pleads guilty in July incident |

A man involved in a small riot at MacLaren Youth Correctional Facility in Woodburn in July recently pleaded guilty to a number of felony crimes related to the incident. Willie Waller, 19, of Lake Oswego, plead guilty Dec. 21 to five total charges of aggravated harassment, assaulting a public safety officer and criminal mischief. He was sentenced to 5 years in the Oregon Department of Corrections. Two charges, including one charge of riot and one of aggravated harassment, were dismissed During the incident, Waller was accompanied by five minors who shut themselves in a room of the facility and refused to come out.
