| Gates police "frustrated" after arresting 3 parolees |

Gates, N.Y. - The Gates Police Department says it's frustrated with the New York state parole system after arresting three parolees for incidents on Christmas weekend. They arrested a Rochester man for a Christmas Eve robbery. James McCoy, 31, allegedly robbed a man and threatened him with a gun outside the Citizens Bank on Chili Avenue last Thursday morning, before fleeing on bicycle and later a car. McCoy was arrested Tuesday and charged with third-degree robbery and grand larceny. He previously served three years in prison for a 2007 armed robbery with a gun, but was sent back three times before his latest release in February. Gates police also arrested Jason Kier, wanted in Wayne County for breaking into homes. He was caught Christmas Day at the Motel 6 in Gates. Read More. |
