| Northeast Nova Scotia Correctional Facility assault sends inmate to hospital |

One inmate was taken to hospital in Pictou County after an assault at the Northeast Nova Scotia Correctional Facility Saturday afternoon that had the jail in a partial lockdown. RCMP spokesman Const. Mark Skinner said members of the Pictou District were called around 3:00 p.m. after two inmates were involved in an altercation. He said officers went to meet with the injured inmate.
