| New Concord prison warden announced after nationwide search |

After a six-month search, the New Hampshire Department of Corrections has tapped a former corrections official from Ohio to head the men’s prison in Concord. Michael Zenk, a deputy court administrator in Toledo and a former state and federal corrections official, will become the new warden, the department announced Wednesday. Zenk will succeed Richard Gerry, who retired in July after eight years on the job. His appointment was confirmed Wednesday by the Executive Council. “I believe Mr. Zenk is an excellent candidate for this position,” Corrections Commissioner William Wrenn said in a statement. “He displays a high level of intelligence, a good grasp on common sense, and excellent judgment.” Read More. |
