| Officials overseeing Lincoln Hills got thousands of dollars for unused leave |

Madison — Just after they were relieved of their duties, one of the top officials overseeing the state's troubled secure facility for young offenders received a payment of more than $66,000 last month and another was paid almost $35,000. The payments for unused leave time came just weeks after about 50 agents and attorneys descended on Lincoln Hills and Copper Lake schools and the two were taken out of their positions. The state Department of Justice investigation is looking into allegations of prisoner abuse, child neglect, sexual assault and other crimes at the facilities, which house young offenders on a shared campus in Irma, about 30 miles north of Wausau.
