Good Wednesday Morning, Fellow Seekers.

Was seemingly routine state Senate vote on Tuesday the place-setter for the next three years of budgetary sparring between legislative Republicans and the Democratic Wolf administration?

With Gov. Tom Wolf's next budget address less than a month away and the two sides still poles apart on an agreement for a 2015-16 budget year that's now more than half done, there's certainly reason to think so.

Here's what happened Tuesday: To avoid a feared shutdown, the Senate Appropriations Committee advanced a $939.4 million supplemental appropriation for the Department of Corrections.
