Garcia was hospitalized for nearly five months. Ricardo Archer, currently in prison for stealing from a vehicle in 2009 in Eaton County, is scheduled to be arraigned on Feb. 5 in 54A District Court on charges of assault with intent to murder, firearms discharge in or at a building causing serious impairment, conspiracy to commit unarmed robbery, possession of firearms by a felon and felony firearm, according to the Ingham County Prosecutor's Office. Archer was sentenced to 18 months to five years in prison in 2013 in the 2009 incident, according to state Department of Corrections records.
