ELLSWORTH — An Ellsworth Correctional Facility inmate who battered a corrections officer Sunday is being held in administrative segregation pending an investigation into the incident, according to a news release from the Kansas Department of Corrections. The staff member injured in the 5:12 p.m. incident was taken to Ellsworth County Medical Center for treatment and then was released, the report said. Read More. |
