| Inmate stabbed to death in fight at Indian Springs prison |

A 26-year-old inmate at High Desert State Prison was stabbed to death Monday afternoon, the Nevada Department of Corrections said. Andrew Thurgood, who was serving time at the Indian Springs prison for attempted possession of a stolen vehicle, was stabbed at about 1:45 p.m. during a fight with two other inmates, the corrections department wrote in a Monday night release.
