| Inmate dies of apparent suicide in Carson City prison |

A 23-year-old inmate was found dead of an apparent suicide in a Northern Nevada prison's bathroom area early Saturday morning. The Nevada Department of Corrections said John Morse died in his housing unit at the Northern Nevada Correctional Center in Carson City. Guards found Morse hanging about 2:30 a.m. and tried to resuscitate him for about 45 minutes. He was pronounced dead at 3:14 a.m., the department said in a statement Tuesday. Read More. |
