| Federal judge dismisses Bergen County inmate's challenge to detention |

In a five-page opinion filed Wednesday in Newark federal court, U.S. District Judge Susan D. Wigenton ruled that Kareem Gibbs, 23, of Teaneck, had not exhausted his state court remedies before filing a petition for a writ of habeas corpus contesting his detention. Gibbs was one of two men accused of sexually assaulting a Garfield girl at the home of a friend in Teaneck on Aug. 21, 2014. He contends her identification of him was wrong, and police committed a fraud on the court in obtaining arrest and search warrants, because unlike the description she gave of her attacker, he has no tattoos on his arms.
