DAYTONA BEACH — A man serving a 25-year sentence for raping a 13-year-old girl was killed by another inmate, a state Department of Corrections spokesman confirmed. Hans Christian Anderson, 58, died Wednesday at Tomoka Correctional Institution near Daytona Beach after he was involved in an altercation with another inmate, prisons spokesman McKinley Lewis said. Lewis could not discuss details of the killing, nor could he release the name of the other inmate. The Florida Department of Law Enforcement is investigating the incident.
