| Residents voice concern over new probation, parole neighbors |

LOS LUNAS (KRQE) – The state is about to move women who are on probation and parole into a Valencia County neighborhood and homeowners are not happy. They’re concerned about safety but they’re also upset that nobody informed them of the project. The mayor says he didn’t even know it was a done deal. Los Lunas resident Donald Sanchez looked out his Los Lunas window one day early in January and saw a big bright red sign. The state put it up notifying the community that they were refurbishing buildings for an all women transitional living center called The Pavilions. Sanchez lives right across the street from the new center. “Absolute surprise. Just complete surprise,” Sanchez said. Read More. |
