| Convicted sex offender from Las Vegas dies in Nevada prison |

CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) — Prison officials in Nevada say a 48-year-old convicted child sex offender who was serving a life sentence with the possibility of parole has died behind bars. The state Department of Corrections said Monday that Todd Avery Stickney died Saturday in a prison medical facility at Northern Nevada Correctional Center in Carson City. A cause of death wasn't immediately disclosed. Prison officials say the Carson City sheriff and coroner will conduct an autopsy. Read More. |
