| Police seek mistakenly released Missouri homicide suspect |

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) _ Authorities are searching for a man charged in a Kansas City-area homicide after he was mistakenly released from jail. The Kansas City Star reports that 26-year-old Malcolm Johnson was released Feb. 17 from the Jackson County Detention Center. He was being held on second-degree murder and armed criminal actions charges in the October 2014 shooting death of 22-year-old Monteario Hogan in Raytown. His release came one day after Jackson County prosecutors dismissed the charges and refiled them in a procedural action. Read More. |
