| Fearful inmate called fiance during riot to say 'I love you' |

PENSACOLA, Fla. (WEAR) — The Holman Correctional Facility is locked down after a riot involving around 100 inmates. The chaos that's gotten national attention broke out a little after 9 p.m. Friday. A corrections officer was stabbed while trying to break up a fight. Then the warden was stabbed when he went to investigate. An inmate posted video on Facebook showing a fire set by prisoners after they got into a hallway outside their unit. A woman who says her fiancee is an inmate at Holman contacted Channel 3 News. She wanted to remain anonymous to protect him from any repercussions. Of the prisoners, she said, "Some of them have 25 years, they're not getting out, they have nothing to lose." Read More. |
