Holman Correctional Facility in Alabama is on lockdown after about 100 inmates rioted and took control of a prison dorm and started a fire in the hallway after stabbing the warden and a corrections officer. Two correctional officers have been stabbed during a prison riot that was filmed by inmates and posted onto social media. Holman Correctional Facility is home to death row and is the only facility in the state that carries out executions. Neither of the stab wounds were life threatening. An unidentified dispatcher with the Escambia County Sheriff's Office confirmed the disturbance at the Holman Correctional Facility in Atmore, about 50 miles (80 km) north of Mobile, but declined to give details about the situation.
