Maryland State Police break up large fight at a juvenile detention facility in Frederick County

SABILLASVILLE, Maryland — Maryland State Police says troopers were called to break up a large fight at a Frederick County juvenile detention facility that has a history of problems with violence.

Authorities said a fight involving more than a dozen juveniles broke out around noon Friday at the Victor Cullen Center in Sabillasville.

The Frederick News-Post reports (bit.ly/1TDHb3h) that several staff members were hurt, and that one was taken to a hospital for treatment.

Authorities said several juveniles involved in the fight were removed and sent to other facilities.
