An inmate at the Buncombe County jail has been charged with assaulting a law enforcement officer after she 'mule kicked' the deputy in the knee. Auriel Lavonne Moore, 18, of Charlotte, was charged March 9 with assault causing physical injury to a law enforcement officer, according to an arrest warrant. The charge stems from Moore “intentionally aiming and mule kicking a Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office deputy in the knee, causing a knot and bruising," according to the warrant. She was also charged with resisting arrest for refusing to obey commands, physically resisting restraint and attempting to free herself from officers. Read More. |
