| Maryland inmate due in court on drone contraband charges |

CUMBERLAND, Md. (AP) — A state prison inmate has a court date in Cumberland on charges he conspired with two men on the outside in an attempt to bring drugs, pornographic videos and other contraband into the maximum-security Western Correctional Institution. The status hearing Tuesday for 43-year-old Charles Brooks comes one day before his scheduled trial. He faces 33 misdemeanor counts that could add 99 years to his sentence.
