An inmate who escaped from a Newton prison last month has been arrested while a second prison escapee remains at large, authorities said Tuesday. Jessy Foley, who had escaped Feb. 27, has been apprehended by the Fifth Judicial District Warrant Team and the U.S. Marshal's Service, according to an Iowa Department of Corrections news release Tuesday. Foley is now back in custody at the Newton Medium Security Correctional Facility. Michael Amodeo, who also escaped from the Newton prison Feb. 27, is still at large, and authorities believe he is in central Iowa, according to the news release. The Department of Corrections asks anyone with information on Amodeo's whereabouts to report it by calling 911. Read More. |
