The Alabama Department of Corrections confirms an inmate at the Elmore Correctional Facility was fatally stabbed on Friday. Prison officials report that a fight broke out between two inmates at approximately 5:30 p.m. Johnny Lee Spears, 31, was stabbed during the altercation. Spears succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased by a corrections physician at 5:56 p.m. Latarian Martel Frison, 25, was detained as a suspect in the stabbing. Read More. |
