JACKSON, MI – A 47-year-old prison inmate was briefly hospitalized last week after a fight broke out in a housing unit at the G. Robert Cotton Correctional Facility in Jackson County. Between 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. Thursday, March 24, two male inmates, ages 47 and 31, fought inside a level two general population housing unit at the G. Robert Cotton Correctional Facility, 3500 N. Elm Road, Michigan Department of Corrections Spokesman Chris Gautz said. According to Gautz, no weapons were used during the fight and Michigan Department of Corrections Officers subdued the men.
