The Florida Department of Corrections is searching for a woman who escaped from a work release program in St. Petersburg. According to a notice on the department website, 34-year-old Christal Anderson escaped Sunday from the Suncoast Community Release Center, 10596 Gandy Blvd. The center, at the Goodwill corrections facility, is designed to help female inmates transition from the prison population and into the society. A Pinellas County Sheriff’s Department official said Anderson was on furlough on Sunday and away from the facility when she cut off her ankle bracelet. Read More. |
